BoothBuddy
Salesforce-ready trade show export

Trade show leads, ready for Salesforce.

Capture the lead by voice, review the fields, export a clean CSV. The column names match standard Salesforce Lead fields, so the Data Import Wizard finishes the work in about 30 seconds. Works the same with HubSpot, Pipedrive, Notion, and any CRM that takes a CSV.

CSV export is on every plan, including the free trial.

In their own words

The Salesforce post-show grind is real.

Verbatim quotes from public Reddit and review threads — RevOps and sales reps describing what they actually do with trade show data today.

However, this paper process is tedious after a trade show when you're updating SF with all the captured information.

My overall goal is to capture enough information to provide a valuable follow up event that specifically addresses their vision for what our service solves... Then ideally creates a follow up task in SF and assigns it to the proper Sales Rep for the region.

Before using iCapture, we were bogged down by the inefficiency of using Excel or Google Sheets to record our interactions with customers and prospects on site.

The immediate entry into SalesForce is a game-changer for our team and has decreased the follow-up time.

Why CSV beats native integrations (for most teams)

The boring file format is the right answer.

Works with every CRM, not just Salesforce

The same CSV imports into HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, Notion, Airtable, Google Sheets, or anywhere else. CRM-agnostic by design.

No integration to break

Native two-way syncs fail at the worst moments — usually mid-event, when the booth is busy. CSV is dumb, durable, and works the same way every show.

Auditable and portable

You have the raw data. If you ever switch CRMs, change Salesforce orgs, or want to dedupe historical leads, the CSV is your source of truth.

No paid integration tier

Native CRM integrations on enterprise event platforms typically sit behind a higher pricing tier. CSV export is free on every BoothBuddy plan, including the free trial.

FAQ

Salesforce CSV import, answered.

How do I import trade show leads into Salesforce?

Export the CSV from BoothBuddy, open Salesforce's Data Import Wizard (Setup → Data Import Wizard → Leads → Upload), and map the BoothBuddy columns to Salesforce Lead fields. The column names match standard Salesforce fields, so mapping takes about 30 seconds. You can set owners by territory or assign to the rep listed in captured_by.

What fields are in the BoothBuddy CSV export?

Eight columns: name, email, company, title, notes, event, captured_at (ISO timestamp), and captured_by (which rep). One row per lead. No merged cells, no header gymnastics. Drops straight into any CRM import wizard.

Can I export to HubSpot or Pipedrive instead of Salesforce?

Yes. The CSV is CRM-agnostic. HubSpot Contacts Import accepts the same columns, as does Pipedrive's import flow, Notion CSV import, Airtable, and Google Sheets. The advantage of CSV is exactly this — it works with everything.

Why doesn't BoothBuddy have a native Salesforce integration?

Intentional design choice. Native two-way syncs add a layer that fails at the worst moments (mid-event, when the booth is busy) and lock you into one CRM. CSV is dumb, durable, and works the same way at every show regardless of where the data ends up.

Can I export mid-event or only at the end?

Export anytime. Many teams export at the end of each booth shift so they can send hot leads to sales the same evening — without waiting for the show to end.

Does the CSV include the audio recording?

No — only the structured fields the rep dictated and reviewed. The audio is processed and discarded; the lead is what gets stored and exported.

Capture clean. Export cleaner.

25 free leads. CSV export included. Drop it into Salesforce, HubSpot, or whatever you actually use.
